By accessing the Everyday Advocates, Inc. (“Everyday Advocates,” “our,” “the organization”) website, you agree to the following terms:
- Age Eligibility & Consent
By submitting any form on this website (including reports, donations, volunteer sign-ups, or ny other forms), you certify that you are at least 18 years of age or have the explicit consent of a legal parent or guardian to share your information with Everyday Advocates. - Good Faith & Litigation Status
By submitting a report, you certify that all information provided (locations, descriptions, photos, videos, audio, etc.) is truthful, accurate, and submitted in good faith. To protect the integrity of your concerns and our advocacy, Everyday Advocates will not accept or take action on reports involving active or pending litigation or formal legal disputes. We reserve the right to immediately cease involvement in any case if it becomes a legal matter to ensure we do not interfere with formal proceedings. - No Professional Advice or Relationship
All content provided by Everyday Advocates, including information found on this website, in our publications, literature, social media posts, or direct case correspondence, is for informational and educational purposes only. We are a community advocacy non-profit, not attorneys, engineers, or licensed safety professionals. Accessing our content or communicating with us does not create a professional-client relationship. - Limitation of Liability
Everyday Advocates, Inc. is a community advocacy organization, not a government agency, legal representative, or emergency first responder. Our primary duty is to serve our mission and the collective wellbeing of the community. We are not liable for:- The actions, inactions, or response times of third-party agencies or the organization.
- The ultimate outcome of any reported concern.
- Failure to identify or “missing” issues in locations we travel to and/or inspect.
- Any outcomes or reliance upon case correspondence or advice shared in pursuit of our mission.
- Tax-Exempt Status
Everyday Advocates, Inc. (EIN: 41-3272897) is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) Florida non-profit corporation. Contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law; please consult your tax advisor regarding your specific situation. - Prohibited Use & Content Standards
Users are strictly prohibited from using the Everyday Advocates, Inc. platform to submit false, fraudulent, or malicious reports; engage in harassment, stalking, or targeted disparagement; or attempt to scrape data from our public incident tracker or any other Everyday Advocates, Inc. system or platform.
Furthermore, you may not upload, submit, or transmit any “Inappropriate Content,” which includes but is not limited to:- Obscene or Pornographic Material: Any content that is sexually explicit, indecent, or violates community standards.
- Harmful or Violent Content: Images or text depicting graphic violence, promoting self-harm, or threatening the safety of others.
- Infringing or Unlawful Material: Content that violates intellectual property rights, trademarks, copyrights, or any local, state, or federal laws.
Privacy Policy
Everyday Advocates, Inc. (“Everyday Advocates,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect and protect your data across our website and reporting tools.
- Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you:
- Submit a “Report a Concern” form (including location data and photos);
- Sign up for our volunteer events, newsletter, and/or other mailing lists;
- Make a donation; and/or,
- Contact us via webform or email.
- How We Use Your Information We use your data to investigate neighborhood issues, provide status updates on reports, coordinate volunteer activities, communicate about organizational activities, and process donations.
- Data Sharing & Public Records We only share your contact information with government agencies or third-party contractors when necessary to resolve a reported issue and only with your explicit authorization. Please Note: Information shared with government entities may become subject to public records requests under Florida’s FOIA laws.
- Your Privacy Rights We honor data deletion requests from all users, regardless of location. To permanently delete your personal information, please email hello@everydayadvocates.org.
- Cookies and Tracking Technologies We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to analyze website traffic and improve your browsing experience. These cookies help us understand which neighborhood issues are receiving the most attention so we can better allocate our resources. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings or by using the consent tool on our website.
Donation Terms & Conditions
By submitting a donation to Everyday Advocates, Inc. (“Everyday Advocates”), whether through our website, check, a third-party platform, or as an in-kind contribution, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
- Mission-First Use of Funds
Everyday Advocates respects the intent of our donors and makes every effort to honor specific designations. However, to ensure the most effective use of resources, Everyday Advocates reserves the right to redirect funds to other organizational needs if a designated program is fully funded, completed, or can no longer be executed. By contributing, you understand that your gift primarily supports our overall mission and operations. - Gift Acceptance & In-Kind Contributions
Everyday Advocates reserves the right to decline any gift, including cash, real property, or in-kind goods or services, if the acceptance of the gift is determined not to be in the best interest of the organization.- In-Kind Valuation: For tax purposes, Everyday Advocates acknowledges the receipt of in-kind goods or services but does not assign them a monetary value. The donor is solely responsible for determining the fair market value of their contribution for tax deduction purposes.
- Organizational Independence
Everyday Advocates maintains full independence over its advocacy, reporting, and strategic priorities. Acceptance of a donation or corporate partnership does not constitute an endorsement of the donor’s personal or corporate views, politics, products, or services. We reserve the right to terminate any partnership or return a donation if a donor engages in conduct contrary to our organizational values. - Website Donations & Third-Party Platforms
Website Donations: Donations made directly via our website are facilitated through the GiveWP plugin and processed by Stripe. By donating through our site, you agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Third-Party Platforms: We also accept contributions via external platforms (including but not limited to GoFundMe, Benevity, Fidelity Charitable, and PayPal). Transactions on these services are subject to the respective platform’s terms of service and processing fees.
Liability: Everyday Advocates is not liable for technical errors, processing delays, or data breaches that occur within these third-party payment systems. - Finality of Gifts (No Refunds)
To ensure the stability of our programs, all donations are considered final and non-refundable once successfully processed. If you believe a technical error occurred, please contact us immediately at hello@everydayadvocates.org. - Tax Deductibility
Everyday Advocates, Inc. is a recognized 501(c)(3) public charity. Contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. While we provide an official donation receipt for your records, you are responsible for verifying the specific tax deductibility of your gift with a tax professional. - State Solicitation Disclosure (Florida)
